The State of Maryland requires a license to install, service and/or repair non-water based extinguishing systems. A license must be obtained through the Office of the State Fire Marshal for every: Individual, Firm or Corporation commercially servicing, repairing, filling or refilling non-water based extinguishing systems. Copies of current certifications and a resume are required to accompany the online application. An issued license is renewable every three years and is the sole responsibility of the license holder to reapply.
